May 26, 2016 will it be sunshine
Good morning everyone. My name is Blanche.
I'm at work but want to begin my first blog. Will it be sunshine or will it be gloomy. I hope to hear from people who they spend their day. Are you at work, are you just getting up from a wonderful sleep. Are you getting your breaky ready and selecting a good fiction read to begin or continue with.
Today actually last night began Lag Ba'Omer. Let's embrace it. You can celebrate at a park with a bon fire or in your backyard.
In case you aren't familiar with this holiday I will enlighten you. Lag BaOmer (Hebrew: ל״ג בעומר), also Lag B'Omer, is a Jewish holiday celebrated on the 33rd day of the Counting of the Omer, which occurs on the 18th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar.
This day marks the hillula (celebration, interpreted by some as anniversary of death) of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai, a Mishnaic sage and leading disciple of Rabbi Akiva in the 2nd century, and the day on which he revealed the deepest secrets of kabbalah in the form of the Zohar (Book of Splendor), a landmark text of Jewish mysticism. This association has spawned several well-known customs and practices on Lag BaOmer, including the lighting of bonfires, pilgrimages to the tomb of Bar Yochai in the northern Israeli town of Meron, and various customs at the tomb itself.
Have a great day and looking forward to hearing from you.
Keep on smiling :-)

Good evening everyone. I just returned home from a lovely evening out with one of the bookclubs I belong to through the meetup.com organization. It is a great way to make new like minded nice people who share the similar idea of eating, drinking and talking about the selected book. We also go off topic as well. We also recommend other books for your own FYI.
It has occurred to me thanks to a new friend who I have made that I should properly introduce myself and share my reasons for creating this blog. So let's begin. I enjoy learning new technology and have heard people discussing about having an electronic online diary where one can share their day to day life experiences and activities that goes on in one's life. I thought that sounds so cool. Having no idea how to do this, I started to slowly research and was advised to go through this site Blogger.
I would like to hear what you guys think of blogging, internet, how do you spend your day? Do you work or do you study? Are you retired? Do you enjoy travelling, art and culture? Do you enjoy reading if so, what do you like to read.
I currently resumed my bookclub in April under a new name. Before I had one years ago under a different name and was running it while I was studying part time to be a library information technician. I also worked part time in 2 different library systems. I simply love books and I also enjoy using an ereader as well. The books mainly are fiction.
I am very fortunate to have the use of a library and party room from my workplace to invite the many guests who come out to read. the discussions are very diversified and most enjoyable.
The selected novels we have read are:
Night Gardening by E. L. Swann.
Olive Kitteridge
The Hare With Amber Eyes by Edmund de Wall
We are about to meet to discuss City of Thieves by David Benioff
Then we shall read Middlesex and Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet
Then we shall read Capital and Left Neglected
Another selected reading will be The Leopard
For the books or articles you review, can you tell us more about them? In a brief summary, what are they about? Why did you enjoy them? Why do you recommend them to others? What are some fun and interesting discussions that came up about the book during your reading group?
