In the morning I went to see Dr. Ang. I've had this odd tingling near my right shoulder, so I got an ultrasound and X-Ray a couple of weeks ago. They sent me a message to come see my doctor, but I hadn't been there in a while and they didn't know we had a new phone number!
It turns out I have wear and tear on a shoulder tendon. I might try physiotherapy at a place on Pape Avenue, but first I want to see if my Ontario Disability Support Program application is successful. (I have Asperger's Syndrome.)
Tonight we were going to start watching the second season of Bloodline on Netflix, but it turned out that it's only being released tomorrow!
I finished digging our back yard garden the other day (including a ditch all around it), so this evening I went out to buy some seeds at Fiesta Gardens on Christie Street. They had most of what I was looking for, but no sunflower seeds. (I plan to plant a row of sunflowers between two rows of peas, so the vines can run up the stalks.)
I'd just finished reading the library book Genghis Khan and the Making of the Modern World (for my History Discussion Group), so I returned it on the way to Fiesta Gardens. I'd usually do that at the Wychwood branch, but the smaller Davenport branch was on my path. I also paid an overdue fine. (Why do I keep forgetting to renew?)
We'll soon be planting the garden, and here's a coincidence. The new book I'm reading (for my Classic Book Club) is Pearl S. Buck's Chinese peasant novel The Good Earth!

I gave a link to this blog at Toronto Bookshelf.
ReplyDeleteHey James . How was your weekend? This weekend which just finished was quite eventful. Friday evening I went after work to a reform Jewish Friday Shabbat service at a Shul aka synagogue which is quite musical. What I mean by that is that they have a wonderful choir that sings a variety of the prayers as well as the sermon is so interesting . Every week it's a different one. I go to many types of religious services from orthodox to conservative and now reform. Then they have a nice social part where someone in the community of the Shul sponsors an oneg Shabbat kiddish. They can also take place when you attend on Satutrday morning services. Satutrday I ran errands and then at night I went to a lovely concert at another Shul as part of the Jewish music week. It was in honor of Israel day which is big not only in Jerusalem but everywhere! Then Sunday was Israel festival day annual it was such a blast the event. It took place in Richmond Hill at the new JCC . It was so fun from great entertainment to yummy food. There were vendors and kids activities etc. Tell me about yours
